Trifilon

Trifilon is a Swedish company with roots in advanced carbon fibre materials for use in specialty vehicles. The difficulties of recycling carbon-fibre reinforced materials and their energy-intensive processes led Trifilon to the idea of developing more sustainable materials. They wanted to create materials that both contained renewable raw materials and could be recycled. This led to a range of materials reinforced with hemp fibre known as functional biocomposites.

The company manufactures and markets its materials under the brands BioLite®, Switch® and Revo®. Trifilon’s materials can be found in everything from cool bags to luggage and vacuum cleaners. The various materials can be used in traditional injection moulding machines and other standard equipment.

In 2016, Trifilon was ranked by Nordic Cleantech Open as one of the Nordics’ top cleantech companies.
