SABIC® Stamax

STAMAX™ is polypropylene reinforced with long glass fibres that are chemically bonded to the polymer matrix. The material can be used as-is or as a concentrate diluted with SABIC® PP to the desired properties. The material is characterised by very good strength and stiffness, creep resistance and light weight. Processing can be done in conventional machinery.

STAMAX™ is available in low-odour variants for interior automotive applications and also with flame retardancy for applications in electrified vehicles.

STAMAX™ balances cost and performance especially for structural applications, and is very well suited for specific components within the automotive industry.
