Grivory® Ht

Grivory HT is a high-performance, semi-crystalline thermoplastic engineering material based on polyphthalamide (PPA).

The Swiss company EMS-Grivory has developed its own innovative process for the polymerisation and compounding of Grivory HT. EMS-Grivory is today one of the world’s leading manufacturers of PPA, and the leading producer in the European market.

The material is characterised by very high performance. Plastic parts made of Grivory HT retain their properties and shape even at elevated operating temperatures. Thanks to its distinguishing properties such as high stiffness and good strength, it is one of the most important materials for metal replacement.

Grivory HT is supplied in granulate form and can be processed in conventional machinery.

The material is characterised by the following properties:

  • Good stiffness and high strength even at elevated temperatures
  • Low moisture absorption
  • Good dimensional stability
  • Good resistance to oils and chemicals

    The materials are available with different reinforcements and at different concentrations. They are approved for food and drinking water contact (FWA).

    Grivory HT is typically used in applications within areas such as automotive, sanitation and household appliances.
