Grilamid® L PA12

Grilamid L is a group of materials belonging to the PA12 material family, whose main properties are low water absorption, high dimensional stability and excellent chemical and UV resistance. The materials are also characterised by high hydrolysis resistance, very good impact toughness combined with high elongation compared to other technical materials with similar stiffness. The processing parameters are also very favourable with relatively low melt and mould temperatures, enabling relatively favourable processing windows.

Grilamid L PA12 can be processed by injection moulding, pipe and film extrusion, and blow moulding. Grilamid L is a material that can be adapted to different types of applications by adding fillers, pigments, plasticisers or processing aids.

The most important areas of use for Grilamid L PA12 are, for example, feed lines, connectors for media and compressed air systems in the automotive industry. It is also used for cable, cable protection, and housings and components for electrical appliances and household machines. It is also common in the industrial sector and for products in sports and leisure.
