GELOY™ Resin

Geloy™ Resin is an amorphous blend of polycarbonate (PC) and Acrylonitrile-Styrene-Acrylate (ASA). ASA has excellent weathering properties, and in combination with PC provides better impact toughness and heat resistance.

Typical properties of Geloy™ Resin are:

Good chemical resistance, though not against solvents

High surface hardness and finish

Very easy to colour

Excellent UV resistance

Geloy™ Resin is easy to process, for example by injection moulding. Thanks to its excellent weathering properties, the material is mainly used in outdoor applications. Examples of areas of use include chargers for electric vehicles and marine applications. The material is also available with flame retardants.
