STAMAX is polypropylene reinforced with long fiberglass fibers that are chemically bonded to the polymer matrix. The material can be used as it is, or as a concentrate diluted with SABIC® PP to achieve the desired properties. The material is characterized by good strength and rigidity, creep resistance, and low weight. Processing can be performed using conventional machine equipment with excellent results.
STAMAX is available in low-odor variants for vehicle interior applications, and in a flame retardant variant for electric vehicle applications.
STAMAX balances cost and performance, primarily with regard to structural applications, and is well suited for use in automotive industry components.
