ISOPAK is an amorphous thermoplastic, and consists of the three monomers acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene (ABS). There are many different variants of ABS, and its properties depend on the blend of acrylonitrile and butadiene rubber used.
The material has good dimensional stability, high scratch resistance, and high rigidity at temperatures up to 80°C. It also has excellent electrical properties and good impact resistance. However, the material has less optimal UV resistance.
ISOPAK is suitable for e.g. consumer goods, toys, furniture, sanitary articles, cosmetics, office supplies, and automotive-industry applications.
ISOPAK ABS is also available ready-colored in smaller quantities.
