Butyl Zimate®

Butyl Zimate (ZDBDC) is a highly active, non-staining accelerator often used in rubber compounds based on low-unsaturation polymers — such as EPDM and IIR.

Butyl Zimate promotes rapid and efficient vulcanisation and gives vulcanisates with good heat ageing, and has the lowest tendency to bloom among the dithiocarbamates. Up to 3 phr can often be used in rubber compounds without producing blooming effects.

Butyl Zimate is also used as an accelerator for synthetic latex compounds. It is approved for use in accordance with FDA 177.2600 up to 1.5 wt%.
