LNP™ FARADEX™ compound

LNP™ FARADEX™ are thermoplastic materials mixed with stainless steel fibres. Electrically conductive fibres in the polymer matrix give the material the shielding properties required for applications with EMI/RFI requirements. These properties can also be used in applications requiring electrostatic discharge (ESD).

EMI/RFI shielding lies between 40–60 dB and higher from 30–1000 MHz. Using LNP™ FARADEX™ is highly cost-effective, as it eliminates secondary operations such as metallisation. It also provides greater design freedom to integrate different functions.

LNP™ FARADEX™ has mechanical properties at similar levels to the unfilled thermoplastics used. In addition, they can be obtained with halogen-free flame retardant properties.

LNP™ FARADEX™ is suitable for processing by, for example, injection moulding.
