TPV is a family of thermoelastomers in which the EPDM-elastomer in the material has been dynamically vulcanized and distributed as small particles in a PP matrix. The vulcanized elastomer improves the properties of the TPV materials in terms of e.g. higher heat resistance and lower compression set as compared to TPE. These materials can thus be used in demanding applications within e.g. the automotive and construction industries. TPV materials can be processed using the most common processing methods, such as injection molding and extrusion. They are easy to recycle.
