BUTYL ZIMATE (ZDBDC) is a highly active, non-discoloring accelerator that is often used in rubber blends that use polymers with low unsaturation as a base, such as EPDM and IIR.
BUTYL ZIMATE effects quick and efficient vulcanization, provides vulcanizates with good heat aging, and has the lowest tendency for blooming among the dithiocarbamates. Up to 3 phr can be used in many rubber mixtures without blooming effects occurring.
BUTYL ZIMATE is also used as an accelerator for synthetic latex mixtures. It is approved for uses in accordance with the requirements on 1.5 weight percentage stipulated by the FDA in §177.2600.
