NORYL GTX Resin is a mix of the polymers polyamide (PA) and polyphenyl ether (PPE). Through this, it is possible to combine the chemical resistance and fluidity of PA with the dimensional stability, low moisture absorption, and heat resistance of PPE.
The result of mixing these polymers is a material that is characterized by extremely good chemical resistance, rigidity, and impact resistance. Variants of NORYL GTX have been developed that allow coating on the production line to take place, which is possible due to the material’s high heat resistance.
The low density of unfilled NORYL GTX materials means a weight reduction of up to 25% compared to glass- and mineral-filled materials.
Thanks to its properties, the material is well suited for use in applications such as bodywork details in the automotive industry.
