ISOTHANE is an environmentally friendly, thermoplastic polyurethane that is suitable for products that require good wear resistance and resistance to abrasion. The material is characterized by, among other things, high mechanical strength, hydrolytic resistance, and flexibility – even at low temperatures.
ISOTHANE TPU also has very good resistance to oils, solvents, and chemicals.
The material is often used in automotive, medical, sporting, and leisure applications. Some common application areas are straps, transmission belts, and shoe soles.
The material is suitable for use with the most common manufacturing methods, such as injection and extrusion-blow molding.
