Erteco has established a new dedicated team focusing on polyolefins, masterbatches and additives. The initiative strengthens Erteco’s ability to support customers working with polyolefin materials and related additive technologies across a wide range of applications.
The mission of the team is to give dedicated attention to polyolefin customers, who often also have significant demand for masterbatches and additives. At the same time, the team supports colleagues across Erteco with business development and technical expertise within these material areas.
Another important focus area is plastic recycling. With the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) introducing requirements for recycled content in plastic packaging by 2030, demand for post-consumer recycled materials is expected to grow. Erteco is already involved in several projects exploring how these materials can be integrated into future packaging solutions.
The decision to establish the team was made after the K-Fair in October, where it became clear that Erteco now has a strong and complete portfolio of masterbatches and additives. Bringing these capabilities together with the existing Polyolefin Team allows Erteco to offer a more integrated approach to customers.
The team primarily targets mid-size polyolefin processors, a segment where a distributor can provide significant added value through technical support, material knowledge and market insight. For masterbatches and additives, the scope also includes larger accounts.
Typical applications include packaging solutions such as blown and cast film, blow moulding, thermoforming and injection moulding.
The Team
The team is led by Michel Lund Larsen, who joined Erteco in 2013 and brings extensive experience from the plastics distribution market.
He is joined by colleagues bringing strong expertise across polyolefins, masterbatches and additives. Martin and Jaakko contribute many years of experience in polyolefin distribution, while Patrik, who joined the group in January 2026, adds valuable knowledge from masterbatch production. Nikita, based in Stockholm, supports the team with logistics and coordination, ensuring smooth operations.
When needed, the team also works closely with Erteco’s Purchase Team and Tech Center, ensuring customers benefit from a broad range of technical and commercial expertise.
With this initiative, Erteco further strengthens its role as a knowledgeable partner supporting customers in an evolving materials landscape, from traditional polyolefins to future solutions involving recycled content.
