In the interview, he shared his thoughts on the current state of the plastics industry, the key challenges ahead, and why staying connected is more important than ever.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re really pleased. The turnout was great, and it was rewarding to meet both new and familiar faces in the industry,\u201d says Niklas.<\/p>\n<p>For us at Erteco, events like Plastteknik are more than just exhibitions, they are important opportunities to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, and discover new collaborations in a sector driven by innovation and partnership.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sustainability takes the lead<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to Niklas, the dominant theme at this year\u2019s event was clear: sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been on the agenda for a while, but things are moving quickly now. New materials and technologies are entering the market, while updated regulations are reshaping how we operate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also pointed to growing interest in circular solutions and recycling innovations, as the industry looks for practical ways to reduce its environmental footprint.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a dynamic space where innovation meets real-world production challenges. We\u2019re seeing a lot of energy around finding smarter, more sustainable ways to work with plastics,\u201d Niklas continues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What else is shaping the market?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Beyond sustainability, raw material availability and pricing trends were high on the list of concerns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrices affect the entire value chain, from manufacturers to end users.
