It is important to us that we strive to have as low an environmental impact as possible in everything we do. Practicing what we preach is of the utmost importance to us. To minimize our impact on the environment, we are involved in several environmental initiatives. Erteco supports the work of Regnskogsf\u00f6reningen in South America<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We have supported Regnskogsf\u00f6reningen\u2019s (\u2018the Rainforest Association\u2019) work in South America every year since 2001, and donate 5% of our profits to various projects devoted to saving and preserving rainforests in South America. At the moment we are supporting Regnskogsf\u00f6reningen in its efforts to protect the Amazon Rainforest and support local communities who live in the vicinity of the forest. Regnskogsf\u00f6reningen also works with sustainable solutions and on the political representation of the indigenous population of the rainforest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are part of Operation Clean Sweep<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) is a project that was started by Plastics Europe and aims to prevent and minimize material spillage within distribution chains. While consumers are responsible for the recycling and reuse of products, the plastics industry must ensure the correct usage of products that are sold and used. A particular goal of OCS is preventing plastic spillage in oceans and marine environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through our involvement in OCS, we have committed to undertakings regarding this relating specifically to goods that are handled at our storage facility in Sweden. Processes have been put in place for taking care of granulate spillage, and our staff are able to assist other agents in the distribution chain with knowledge and equipment when spillages occur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our 2024\/2025 Sustainability Report shows how we actively work to drive the development towards a more sustainable plastics and rubber industry. Through close collaboration with world-leading manufacturers, investments in knowledge and digitalisation, and a clear focus on circular and bio-based materials, we strive to reduce our climate impact and increase the share of sustainable material choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 6 of the Swedish Annual Accounts Act and is inspired by the CSRD and ESRS. During the year, we have, among other things, reduced emissions per product, increased awareness among suppliers and customers, and improved data quality in our climate reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
