Polycarbonate has typical properties such as high stiffness and impact toughness up to 135 \u00b0C. Glass fibre reinforced variants have very good creep resistance even at elevated temperature.<\/p>\n\n<li>Amorphous structure with a continuous use temperature of 115 \u00b0C<\/li>\n\n<li>High stiffness, hardness and impact toughness over a wide temperature range<\/li>\n\n<li>Transparent material<\/li>\n\n<li>Excellent colouring possibilities<\/li>\n\n<li>Flame retardant grades<\/li>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lexan\u2122 Resin has high optical clarity but can also be obtained in translucent, diffusing and opaque colours.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The product family includes a wide range of viscosities, various flame retardancy levels and stabilisers such as UV and heat. There are also variants approved for food contact and biocompatibility.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The material can be both injection moulded and extruded, and is commonly used in the automotive industry, both for exterior applications and interior details inside the vehicle.
