\n PC\/PBT <\/h1>\n \n
\n

PC\/PBT is an amorphous blend of polycarbonate (PC) and semi-crystalline polybutylene terephthalate (PBT).<\/p>\n\n

Blending two polymers can produce an alloy that combines the good properties of both materials very well. PBT contributes its semi-crystalline structure to increase resistance to chemicals and UV as well as increased stiffness, while PC contributes excellent impact toughness and dimensional stability.<\/p>\n\n

This blend can be used in many different applications, and is very common in the automotive industry, for example.<\/p>\n\n

  • Very good impact toughness (even at low temperatures down to -20\u00b0 C)<\/li>\n\n
  • Good stiffness<\/li>\n\n
  • Good UV resistance<\/li>\n\n
  • Very good heat resistance<\/li>\n\n
