Its primary properties are:<br \/>\n\u25cf Semi-crystalline structure<br \/>\n\u25cf Good workability<br \/>\n\u25cf High impact resistance<br \/>\n\u25cf Good mechanical properties up to 120\u2013140\u00b0C<br \/>\n\u25cf Good chemical resistance to strong acids and alkalines<br \/>\n\u25cf High moisture absorption<br \/>\n\u25cf Glass-transition temperature of 50\u00b0C<br \/>\n\u25cf Melting point of 220\u00b0C<\/p>\n<p>PA 6.6<br \/>\nPolyamide 6.6 is one of the most commonly used engineering materials. Due to the fact that it has better heat resistance than PA 6, it is often chosen for applications with higher requirements on heat resistance. Just as with PA 6, PA 6.6 is available in a large number of variants. Its primary properties are:<br \/>\n\u25cf Semi-crystalline structure<br \/>\n\u25cf Very good impact resistance<br \/>\n\u25cf High heat resistance (higher than PA 6)<br \/>\n\u25cf Good mechanical properties up to 140\u2013160\u00b0C<br \/>\n\u25cf Very good chemical resistance to oils, fats, and most solvents<br \/>\n\u25cf High moisture absorption (but lower than PA 6)<br \/>\n\u25cf Glass-transition temperature of 50\u00b0C<br \/>\n\u25cf Melting point of 260\u00b0C<br \/>\n\u25cf Good chemical resistance to strong acids and alkalines<\/p>\n<p>PA 12<br \/>\nPolyamide 12 is manufactured through the polymerization of laurolactam. PA 12 is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with excellent chemical and hydrolytic resistance.
