The material is manufactured using a polymerization process. This material is characterized by a fully saturated, oxygenous polymer chain that contains chlorinated side groups .

Hydrin has good thermostability, excellent performance at low temperatures, and good resistance to mineral oils, gases, and fuels. The material is also electrostatically dissipative.

Hydrin has good properties over a broad range of temperatures – between roughly -40 and 125°C – but can perform at 150°C for a short-term exposure.

Zeon has a wide range of different types of Hydrin, which makes the material suitable for many kinds of application.
